On contentment

Something I would be eager to pass on to the littles in my life is something I’m calling the paradox of contentment.

The paradox of contentment, by my definition, is the challenge of remaining content, present, and grateful for what is happening now, while simultaneously longing and dreaming for more.

And I would invite you to notice when you are more focused on one over the other.

If you are content with your present, where are the areas you can dream into? What do you long to create with your life?

If you find yourself lost with longing for what’s to come, what are you grateful for now? How can you make the most of your current circumstances?

This is a beautiful thing to master. And I truly believe your life will be richer for it.
